In a public presentation to discuss science and ethical implications, MIT biologist Dr. Kevin Esvelt, Johns Hopkins bioethicist Dr. Ruth Faden, Harvard immunologist Dr. Duane Wesemann and Tufts infectious disease expert Dr. Sam Telford discuss Mice Against Ticks, a community-guided project which aims to reduce the number of disease-carrying ticks on Nantucket by enlisting local white-footed mice and gene-editing techniques.
