Mice Against Ticks

In a public presentation to discuss science and ethical implications, MIT biologist Dr. Kevin Esvelt [1], Johns Hopkins bioethicist Dr. Ruth Faden [2], Harvard immunologist Dr. Duane Wesemann [3] and Tufts infectious disease expert Dr. Sam Telford [4] discuss Mice Against Ticks [5], a community-guided project which aims to reduce the number of disease-carrying ticks on Nantucket by enlisting local white-footed mice and gene-editing techniques. Moderated by The New Yorker’s Michael Specter [6].
