The Institute for Clinical and Translational Research is debuting a new lecture series, “Third Thursdays with the ICTR.” Each month, speakers will share research-related news and showcase a resource and/or service that can aid clinical research study team members. The next lecture is Thursday, September 21 from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. in The Wood Basic Science Building West Lecture Hall.
This month’s speaker Holly Taylor, PhD, Associate Professor of Health Policy & Management with Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her presentation, “ICTR Research Ethics Consultation Service” will elaborate on the goals of the Research Ethics Consultation Service, to help raise awareness of, and to assist investigators in resolving ethical issues throughout the entire research process. She will also discuss the free consults offered to all Hopkins faculty, staff and students which may be requested for ethical issues arising during study development, conduct, analysis and publication.
Directions to the Wood Basic Science Building West Lecture Hall (725 N Wolfe) : The building is tucked behind the Welch Medical Library. Enter through the Preclinical Teaching Building and follow the hallway that loops around the Greenhouse Café, and ends at the Wood Basic Science Building elevators. Take the elevator to the ground floor. Exit to the left and you’ll be in the auditorium foyer, directly in front of the West Lecture Hall
